Mad Max: Fury Road Prequel Starring Charlize Theron Is On The Way

A prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, is apparently in the works.

According to the Australian Herald Sun, the yet to be titled movie “will be filmed in and around Broken Hill”, an area in New South Wales, and that filming “could start as soon as later this year”. The story reportedly concentrates on the history of Furiosa, played by Oscar-winner Charlize Theron.

It is no surprise Hollywood is anxious for another Mad Max film after the massive success of 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road garnered 6 Academy Awards and a worldwide box office of  $378 million.
