Antony Szeto and Trung Ly at Action on Film Fest and Awards show!

Danny Templegod exclusively reporting on the scene from Action On Film Fest! On Friday September 9th I attended the U.S. Premiere of Roger Corman’s ‘Fist of the Dragon’ The film was presented as the closing night film and screened at the Krikorian Theater in Monrovia, California.

Over the past couple of years I have featured the film on Dan’s Movie Report starting with this initial review in December 2014 first on Earth link http://dansmoviereport.blogspot.com/2014/12/fist-of-dragon-movie-review.html

Increasing her visibility, actress Juju Chan has exploded onto the U.S, scene, but this time the focus shifts to the Action On Film winner Fight Choreographer Trung Ly!  He is are amazing!

Flying to LA to meet the entire cast was an amazing experience, yet so little is known about the amazing Trung Ly Time to change that! Action choreographer Trung Ly is an amazing talent, he can work on all aspects of the film business. trung Ly produced high quality short films in a matter of hours, and yet they can look like a short that was costing 1000’s and shot over a week or so. My two favorites are ‘Hit Girls’  and the recent ‘Hong Kong Shogun’ check out my exclusive reviews of both flicks!

Trung is a really low key guy,  and his amazing work really shone in ‘Fist of the Dragon’ He choreographed the action and amazing MMA fighter Josh Thompson was able to adapt to learn how to fight without actually hitting! Which is an art! Actually Trung truly is multi-talented, his ‘Day Job’ is Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Mechanical and Avionics for Qantas! So Trung has the technical skill to back up! He can literally do it all in the film business!

groupfistofthedragonwmSo there is a real bad girl in the mix hahah! never poke the bear!

Thankfully his art has turned into an award Action on Film Fest, Respect Trung Ly! Fight Choreographer!

I sat next to Juju during the screening and she proclaimed “I wanted to see your reaction!” Well then so did I want to see hers, so…yeah! It is a blast sharing the theater with the passion involved folks who undertook such a difficult project on an ultra low budget. ‘Fist of The Dragon’ was a cool experience and alas it will be on Netflix soon! It is a Roger Corman film directed By Antony Szeto.

Back to  Trung, he has many goals and dreams in the future; watch this site and Dan’s Movie Report for more exclusives, in the mean time check out their exclusive sites! Trung  also worked on the biggest film in Vietnam ever called Truy Sat! Here is a behind the scenes video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oH7-etny6I&feature=youtu.be

Although it is in Vietnamese, Trung is the action coordinator, and expertly crafts the detailed sequences.

Trailer for Steven Seagal’s China Salesman

I forgot this movie was even happening but I’m hoping Seagal is more than a glorified cameo and is one of the main stars; judging by the trailer it looks like his role may be small but it’s cool to see Mike Tyson pu...
