Mark Hamill at Toronto FanExpo 2016

“This will be a day long remembered” to quote a certain Sith Lord and I have to say that I never thought I would get to meet Luke Skywalker in person.

Well, thanks to the Toronto FanExpo who kindly invited us along as press we got to meet him and not only was he a total professional but he was just a nice guy all round. He did autographs and took photos with fans all weekend but also did a panel Q and A with Kevin Conroy where they discussed their iconic roles as Batman and The Joker respectively.

During Hamill’s Q and A he even referenced that classic Simpson’s episode he starred in which got a big cheer from the crowd.

He then went on to discuss the passing of Kenny Baker and paid a fitting tribute to R2 himself.

The most fascinating for me though was Hamill discussing how he got the role of The Joker in the Batman: Animated Series; he initially thought he was going to be portraying Mr. Freeze and was pleasantly surprised when they said “No, you’re actually going to be The Joker”.

You can check out the full panel below which the nice people at FTWvsWTF posted on Youtube.
