Chad Stahelski to Helm Highlander Reboot

Now this is news I can actually get behind; a Highlander reboot has been talked about for years and now it looks like it will finally see the light of day with John Wick director Chad Stahelski to direct it.

THR Reports Stahelski, who, along with David Leitch, was the filmmaker behind John Wick, has signed on to direct the long-gestating reboot of Highlander for Lionsgate.

“I’ve been a huge fan of the original property since I saw it in high school,” Stahelski told The Hollywood Reporter. “Such great themes of immortality, love, and identity are all wrapped up in such colorful mythology. I can’t think of a better property that gives the opportunity to create interesting characters, mythic themes and action set pieces.”

Neal H. Moritz and Peter Davis are producing the project, which could also see Stahelski and Leitch join the team via their 87Eleven production and action stunt company, though that is still to be determined.

I still think it would be an interesting idea to have y’know a Scotsman in it; I am available for auditions and look great in a kilt… just saying.

Death Wish 2: Do You Believe in Jesus?

Death Wish 2 is easily the most brutal in the series and that rape scene was always horrific to watch; I’ll be honest and say I usually fast forward that part. This scene however, has some dark humour as Paul Kersey (Char...
