The Alamo Drafthouse in Texas will be playing the cult JCVD classic Cyborg this Wednesday in 35mm format.
ABOUT: From the ruins of a MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE sequel rose this Albert Pyun directed sci-fi action movie starring the young and upcoming Belgian action star, Jean-Claude Van Damme. Canon Films is known for making violent, entertaining low budget movies, and CYBORG is par for the course with JCVD kicking, impaling, and exploding everything that gets in the way of his mission to seek redemption by saving a cyborg who carries in her memory banks a cure that could save humanity if she could only get it to the CDC. Along the way JCVD goes head to head with an over-the-top, shades wearing metal head named Fender Tremelo. Careful viewers may note that many of the character names in the movie are taken from guitars. Even more careful viewers may note that the flaming wreckage of steel and misery that makes up the American cities and the evil warlord who selfishly wants to have a monopoly on a life-saving drug are intended to be post-apocalyptic details and not documentation of our current state of affairs in 2017.
The movie starts at 10pm and if I lived even remotely near there I would 100% be there.
