Joe Carnahan to Direct The Raid Reboot

It’s the reboot/remake that refuses to die but today it’s been announced that Joe Carnahan (The Grey) will be directing the upcoming remake of The Raid starring Frank Grillo.

Joe Carnahan has taken to his Twitter and Instagram today and states “You can’t remake The Raid, guys. It’s a fantastic film. So, ask yourselves why would we be doing it, unless we had something really special.”

Some fans are up in arms about it but Caranahn said “It’s not a remake. It’s a reimagining of the same scenario. Everybody take a deep breath.”

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what they come up with.
