The Batman Has a New Director

It’s no secret that the upcoming Ben Affleck starring Batman movie has been having its share of issues what with Affleck himself stepping down as director recently.

Sources tell Variety however that Matt Reeves, the “Cloverfield” and “War for the Planet of the Apes” director has already committed to helming the superhero pic, although a deal isn’t done yet. Variety first reported that Reeves was high on the list of directors to replace Affleck, but, until recently, meetings were still being held with other filmmakers.

Affleck will still have a significant role in the direction of the film — the first solo movie to star Affleck as the Caped Crusader — after writing the script with Geoff Johns, but he will now have more time to focus on acting.

Well, Cloverfield was pretty solid from what I can remember so he might be an interesting choice. I was also reading that Joe Mangienello who is set to play Deathstroke has been undergoing extensive martial arts training for the role so I’m still looking forward to it.

I know, I hope they don’t pussy out with it; I still want it to be violent as fuck.

Looking foward for this version of Batman.
But I am still worried that the backlash that “Batman versus Superman” received because of its tone it’s going to reflect on the tone of this movie.
Funny How in 1997 “Batman and Robin” was trashed due to it’s light tone and here we are 20 years later & over-sensitive millennials want Batman to be lighter so that they can sleep better at night
