Escape Plan to Be a Trilogy

It looks like Escape Plan is becoming an unexpected franchise with Sylvester Stallone set to return for a third entry. More Sly is always a good thing so count me in.

According to Deadline “Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films CEOs and co-founders Randall Emmett and George Furla just greenlit the third film in the Escape Plan franchise.

The first, which starred Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, grossed $137 million WW in 2013, and the third film has been set just as Escape Plan 2 wraps this week. Stallone came back for the sequel and will return for the third installment. Miles Chapman wrote the first two films and is writing the third, with director Steven C. Miller back behind the camera. Emmett, Furla, Mark Canton and Zack Schiller all will return to produce. Ted Fox, Mark Stewart, Barry Brooker, and Stan Wertlieb will executive produce. Lionsgate Premiere will release domestically and Leomus Pictures will co-produce the film with EFO and will distribute in China.”

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.

Same haha. and yeah I agree on the Cobra front.

  • Mucho Macho

    It is fuckin creepy..
    But good creepy.
We need to start a petition to have this movie restored & release

  • Yes I have! It’s kinda creepy. Maybe it’s the presentation of it with no music. I have this video saved to “my list” on my YouTube account

  • Mucho Macho

The movie was edited down I think only like a matter of days before it was released. Stallone needs to see if he can get the directors original cut release of that movie.

Btw Saverio…Have you ever seen this?
If not, watch it. It’s a must watch for “Cobra” fans.

  • Yeah no shit. Cobra such an awesome movie! It’s the perfect horror/action hybrid. I would just be happy if they released the work print of the original X-rated version on Blu-ray

  • Mucho Macho

Unexpected indeed we got two sequels out of this but not 1 for “Cobra”
    #DamnIt

  • Mucho Macho

My mission in life is to get to that point as well..
But so far I even have to get up for $10😀

  • Yeah, good point

If Sly is involved I’m sure it will have a decent budget as he doesn’t get out of bed for less than like 10 million haha.

  • wow, this is unexpected. I just hope it doesn’t veer into DTV territory. Very interesting nonetheless though
