RIP Powers Boothe

Just the other day we lost Michael Parks and today we’re sad to announce that the legendary Powers Boothe has passed away at the age of 68.

This one hits hard as he starred in several of my very favourite movies from Extreme Prejudice, Tombstone, Sin City, Rapid Fire and Sudden Death.

At first we believed this to be a hoax but it has since been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. They stated that more recently, Boothe took on the role of Gideon Malick as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting the role on The Avengers and reprising it on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

No cause of death has been revealed as yet.

RIP Mr. Boothe.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.

So sad, I loved this guy. First saw him in the HBO Philip Marlowe, which was light years ahead of any other PI show, then he stole the show in every role he played. Hero, villain, lead or supporting, he was always the coolest guy in the room.

    This really sucks.
I always felt he would have made a great older Batman.
First Bill Paxton & now Boothe..2017 is being an asshole.

What sad news, he was a great actor, you’ve already pretty much listed most of greatest hits of which I love too especially Extreme Prejudice which was awesome and his part of Cash Bailey in it was such a great villain. I also liked him in Southern Comfort, Red Dawn and Emerald forest. RIP Mr Boothe your presence in films will be deeply missed.
