Scott Adkins to Join American Assassin

With a series of castings in American films such as Dr. Strange, The Expendables 2 and The Brothers Grimsby under his belt, martial arts superstar Scott Adkins goes on board of American Assassin as Victor.

SYNOPSIS: AMERICAN ASSASSIN follows the rise of Mitch Rapp (Dylan O’Brien), a CIA black ops recruit under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton). The pair is then enlisted by CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets. Together the three discover a pattern in the violence leading them to a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent (Shiva Negar) to stop a mysterious operative (Taylor Kitsch) intent on starting a World War in the Middle East.

American Assassin will be released September 15, 2017. If you haven’t seen the first trailer, you could check it out below:

I first seriously took on martial arts after being inspired by Tekken at age 13. I was self-trained in Tae Kwon Do for 5 years until I joined Club Taekwondo at San Francisco State University and received my black belt under Grandmaster Bill Dewart, a student of the late pioneer Sihak Henry Cho, at the end of my freshman year. Besides Taekwondo, I do/did Muay Thai, Tai Chi, and Capoeira. I am also a fan of martial arts movies and follow various action stars such as Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, Bruce Lee, Iko Uwais and Tony Jaa. In addition, I aspire to be an action star myself.
