Flatliners Trailer

I know what you are thinking; ‘Why doesn’t Hollywood stop with so many original ideas and focus on remakes?’. Well you are in luck. Today sees the debut of the Flatliners trailer.

In Flatliners, five medical students, obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the confines of life, embark on a daring and dangerous experiment: by stopping their hearts for short periods of time, each triggers a near-death experience – giving them a firsthand account of the afterlife.  But as their experiments become increasingly dangerous, they are each haunted by the sins of their pasts, brought on by the paranormal consequences of trespassing to the other side.

Like myself, you probably recall the original Flatliners which was released in 1990. Directed by Joel Schumacher, it starred Keifer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, Oliver Platt, and Kevin Bacon. This time around, we have Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton and Kiersey Clemens.

Will the remake stand-up to the original? We will see on September 29, 2017. Until then, here is the first trailer:

This remake in most likelyhood will be 💩

Because of “Batman and Robin” , Joel Schumacher developed an infamy amongst movie fans and in my view that hatred has overshadowed a lot of his successes. The man did a lot of movies that I loved over the years. If you don’t love “The Lost Boys” you don’t love the 80s.

“Flatliners” is a movie that I love and happen to think it’s quite underrated. The movie is not a full blown faith-based film but it touches on spirituality in a very effective manner.
It touches on the sins of one’s past and how they might come to affect the adults we’ve grown to become. The cast is great plus the score is very effective as well.
For those that have not seen “flatliners” I highly recommend it.
