I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone.

Nice to see that R-rated action movies are coming back to the mainstream.

When I was a kid & younger I used to read a lot, I would even read Stephen King’s long ass books. Then I just kind of stopped for no particular reason
I think stupidity went hand-in-hand with my adulthood😜

I think 911 change a lot of things for a lot of people cuz before it was always a scenario that was hard to grasp. I had a life-long friend who was in the area, he was one of the ones that fled on foot on the bridge but he was okay. Others I know, unfortunately not so much.

But some stories just need to be continued to be told.
Moving on at times is the hardest thing to do but eventually is something that will have to do.

I read “Transfer of Power,” the first book way back in 1999. I thought it was pretty good, but then 911 happened, and that kind of soured my taste for fictional counter terrorist stories for awhile so I never read any more Rapp books. The movie looks good, if it delivers I may go pick up some more.

Vince Flynn was the author of the book this movie is based on. He also was a consultant in season 5 of “24” He unfortunately passed away in his 40s of cancer.
He wrote a series of books featuring the same character of Mitch Rapp. This was not the first novel but it dealt with the character’s backstory so it made sense to make it the first movie.

Pretty much he can be compared to Tom Clancy and what he did with Jack Ryan.
The thing is that these novels and character can be right leaning when it comes to policies & actions and I don’t know how well they’re going to be faithful to the books in very far left Hollywood. So I do have that concern

That looks super cool, but I deduct 1 point for the ever PC Hollywood villain trope of the rogue agent gone bad.

  • Wow Eoin, this is red band trailer made this movie a lot cooler! You have my attention!
