Widescreen Film & Music Video Festival Deadline Extended to November 26th!

Last year 669 projects were entered into the Widescreen Fest, although the festival is open to all types of films, last year two action films ‘Fist of the Dragon’ and ‘The Gate’ were each nominated for 5 awards. Usually relegated to action specific festivals, high octane fighting films are often thought of as not as important to the industry for culture and awards. Widescreen Film & Music Video Festival allows film makers and stars of all genres equal footing, thus fostering creativity, and allowing them a forum to explore and enjoy South Florida, and gain recognition for there project.

The 2018 Widescreen Festival will commence beginning Friday February 9th 2018 and run through Sunday February 11th , all selected films will be shown at the AMC Aventura 24 Theater in Aventura, Florida: A city about 15 miles north of Miami.

During the 3rd Annual festival held February 17th Thru 19th 2017, The Gate and Fist of the Dragon each won two awards, and look for more action films to be shown again for the 2018 festival. Actresses Chalet Brannan from The Gate, JuJu Chan from Fist of the Dragon, and Natasha Alam from The Code of Cain, director Antony Szeto and Carman Cabana who was the Assistant DP on Narcos Season 2. were among the luminaries that attended, making the Widescreen Festival truly a weekend to remember.
