Summary

The Killer’s Game delivers the action goods with memorable turns from all the cast and it’s great to see Scott Adkins on the big screen. There’s plenty of action and it’s well paced making this well worth checking out.

Plot: A veteran assassin is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself. After ordering the kill, an army of former colleagues pounce and a new piece of information comes to light. Insanity ensues.

Review: When this was announced, I was certainly intrigued as I quite enjoyed Day Shift from the director, and with the cast assembled for this, I was hoping for a fun one.

Well, The Killer’s Game certainly delivered exactly what I wanted by not only utilizing most of its cast well but also having a consistent tone throughout the film; both Bautista and Sofia Boutella have great chemistry, but the real standouts were Scott Adkins, Drew McIntyre, and Marko Zaror.

The action is fun, particularly once Adkins and the other assassins appear. I will say if you are expecting Daniel Bernhardt to go head-to-head with Bautista then you’ll be disappointed.

JJ Perry showcases once again as he did with Day Shift that he’s a capable director who knows how to deliver on the action front and keep the film at a fairly good pace.

Overall, The Killer’s Game is certainly worth seeing on the big screen as it features a good cast, has a simple but decent story, is well-directed, and has some fun action, particularly towards the end.
