One thing we can say about some of our favourite action stars if they have very expressive faces; this is especially entertaining if you pause a movie at just the right moment and get to see some classic expressions.
Arnold Schwarzenegger – Total Recall (1991)
One of my personal favourite Arnold movies, Total Recall also boasts this fantastic facial expression from Arnie as well as maybe the best sounds from a human being.
JCVD & Bolo Yeung – Bloodsport (1988)
Bloodsport has some fantastic fight scenes but it also boasts some great facial expressions this time from both Van Damme and Bolo Yeung.
Sly Stallone – Over the Top (1988)
There are multiple moments you could choose from in the Sly Stallone classic, but this one is amazing.
Nicolas Cage – Face/Off (1997)
To be fair, you could also add in Vampire’s Kiss and practically every other movie starring Nic Cage, but this scene is Face/Off is so outrageous it needs to be on here.
Jason Statham – The Fate of the Furious (2017)
Known for his stoic manliness The Stath also isn’t afraid to do a silly face to save a baby.
Bruce Lee – Enter the Dragon (1973)
Arguably the greatest martial flick of all time also has this amazing expression by the late, great Bruce Lee when he crushes Bob Wall.
