Spoilers ensue for Deadpool & Wolverine, so if you haven’t seen it yet, then read no further.
“There’s only been one Blade. There’s only ever gonna be one Blade.”
Soon to be iconic words from Wesley Snipes who showed up in what is arguably the best cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. It got me thinking, Marvel have really struggled to get the new Blade movie off the ground starring Mahershala Ali, so how about we just forget about it as no one really wants it anyway?
The fact that the return of Snipes as Blade had fans literally cheering in the aisles when I saw it made me think, can’t we just bring him back for another few movies? It’s hard to separate Hugh Jackman from Wolverine, just like it’s hard to separate Snipes from the character of Blade. He looks the part and was still great in the action scenes, so I say we bring him back seeing as giving fans what they wanted with Deadpool & Wolverine seems to be working out nicely in terms of box office. Funny how that works…
