Next on the agenda was meeting Henry Thomas AKA Elliott from E.T., but we discussed Cloak and Dagger and Doctor Sleep too. We mentioned that we actually named our old dog Harvey after watching E.T. and Henry laughed at that.
I asked him which version of E.T. he thought was the best and he said the theatrical cut. He said Steven Spielberg didn’t want to have anything that was too anti-government as it was just after 9/11. I agreed and said there was nothing wrong with the original and we were glad that the theatrical cut is the one we have on 4K.
Speaking of which, we discussed how awesome the 4K set was for Cloak and Dagger and he loved how much care there was in putting the package together.
This was such a great interaction and we felt like we actually got to have a proper chat rather than being rushed away which can happen at these conventions.
