For the final post of the day I wanted to pay tribute to 2 Rob Zombie regulars – Richard Brake and Jeff Daniel Phillips. Richard Brake has starred in Halloween II (2009), 31 (2016), 3 from Hell (2019), and The Munsters (2022) as well as The Last Stop in Yuma County, Batman Begins, Sisu: Road to Revenge, Barbarian and many more. Known for playing villains I’m pleased to say he’s an awesome person in real life. We talked about The Last Stop in Yuma County as I interviewed the director Francis Galluppi a few months ago. Richard said he loved working on the film and I said it felt like those gritty 70s style thrillers we used to get and he agreed.
Next up I chatted with Jeff Daniel Phillips who has starred in Christmas Bloody Christmas, The Munsters, Dexter: Original Sin, 3 from Hell, 31 and Rob Zombie’s Halloween II just to name a few. He is also known for playing the caveman in the Geico commercials. I interviewed Jeff a while back for Cursed in Baja which he also directed; we chatted about that and how crazy filming in Baja was. He also mentioned how he watched In the Name of the Father on the plane and how the film really sticks with you. We talked for a while proving that Frightmare is one of the best Canadian conventions.
