Gerard Butler continues to show his action star chops in the upcoming Empire State which reunites him with Den of Thieves director Christian Gudegast.
Deadline reports that the story centers around what happens when the Empire State Building is attacked by a military contractor hellbent on revenge. Navy SEAL turned NY firefighter Rhett (Butler) and NYPD Tactical officer Dani must put aside their relationship troubles as they work to rescue hostages and save the famous landmark.
What’s also interesting is that the film is co-written by S. Craig Zahler (Bone Tomahawk) and Brian Tucker (Secret Invasion).
This sounds like it could be very intense and Butler works well with Gudegast, so I’m definitely interested in this one.
