Get your adrenaline pumping with these casino action films

The online casino industry is known for its dynamism and revealing new technologies and innovations every year. One website that is leading the way is boomerino.net, which offers a wide range of exciting games and features for players. From virtual reality casinos to mobile gaming, there are always new worlds you can immerse yourself in online. On the big screen, casinos are just as exciting and the backdrop for some of our favorite high-octane movies. Sit back and get your adrenaline pumping with our top three films…

The dynamic duo

Director Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro have teamed up on 10 blockbusters including “Casino”. As its name suggests, the 1995 American crime drama is set in a casino in the capital of gambling itself, Las Vegas. Sam “Ace” Rothstein (played by Robert De Niro) is a gambling expert who is chosen by the mafia to run the Tangiers Casino. It’s a tale of greed and excess with Scorsese’s signature energy and obsessive detail.

The name’s Bond

No list of casino movies or action films would be complete without the world’s most famous spy, James Bond. Released in 2006, “Casino Royale” was Daniel Craig’s first appearance as Bond and arguably his best. The film was based on the Ian Fleming novel of the same name, which was his first novel of the James Bond series that was released in 1953. You don’t get more action-packed than following Bond as he earns his license to kill and beats a financier of international terrorism in a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Royale in Montenegro. Fans of the book will remember it slightly differently – it’s a game of baccarat rather than Texas Hold’em in the book.

The dream team

While the original 1960 “Ocean’s Eleven” wasn’t a massive success, Steven Soderbergh’s remake in 2001 is everything you could want in a fast-paced heist movie. It begins with Danny Ocean, who is just out of prison and plans to rob three Las Vegas casinos at the same time. He assembles a team of skilled criminals (and much-loved actors), including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Bernie Mac, to bypass the casinos’ high-tech security systems and pull off the complex job of stealing $160 million.

The rise of online gaming

Just as Las Vegas has changed on the big screen over the years, faster internet speeds and better software have helped to turn online casinos into a billion-dollar industry. Younger, more tech-savvy players are now engaging in online gambling more than ever before. Whatever gets your adrenaline pumping, from action multiplayers to classic blackjack, you’ll find plenty of options now online, each with its own twist. Slot machines have countless themes and gameplay mechanics to explore, while live dealer games, which allow you to play in real time with a live dealer, offer the casino experience in your own home.
