Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are set to reunite for Viva La Madness which is a sort of sequel to Layer Cake. According to Variety the plot is being kept under wraps, but is “based on J.J. Connolly’s novel and the author’s sequel to “Layer Cake,” which was adapted into the acclaimed 2004 cult crime drama. The film is being billed as a stand-alone, original feature and not a sequel, spin-off or continuation of any previous adaptation of Connolly’s work”.
I imagine the plot will involve Jason Statham punching people in face, so I’ll be there opening night.
