Newark Studios is proud to announce the upcoming production of ON POINT, a gritty, street-level action thriller from multi-talented filmmaker Franklin Correa, who takes on the roles of director, writer, lead actor, executive producer, and fight choreographer.
Currently in pre-production and set to begin principal photography in late July 2025, ON POINT follows the intense story of Hank, a former private security operative, who is pulled back into a deadly world of betrayal and blood money. When his best friend Jameson is murdered in South Africa, Hank is forced to honor a life-or-death promise: protect Jameson’s daughter Jenna, and ensure a priceless blood diamond reaches its intended buyer. But standing in their way is a ruthless former ally named Santiago and a team of mercenaries who will stop at nothing to claim the diamond for themselves.
With New York City and New Jersey serving as the gritty urban backdrop, ON POINT promises high-impact action, emotional stakes, and dynamic fight choreography rooted in realism and intensity.
“This project is a passion piece for me,” says Correa. “It’s about loyalty, sacrifice, and what one man will do to keep a promise—even if it means going through hell. We’re going all-in on action, story, and authenticity.”
