Before The Fantastic Four screening today, we get a sneak peek at the trailer for the third Avatar film entitled Avatar: Fire and Ash from director James Cameron. It’s funny how these movies make billions and yet no one ever talks about them. If you go up to someone in the street and say “What’s the name of the main character in Avatar?” most people would say “uhh… Papa Smurf?”… maybe. The correct answer is Jake Sully (Sam Worthington).
Anyway, the new movie looks every bit as visually stunning as the previous entries with fantastical looking creatures and plenty of action with some fight scenes too. We are introduced to a new Navi tribe with the rather mean looking Varang (Oona Chaplin). I like her line of dialogue at the end – “Your goodness has no communion here”.
The plot is as follows: Jake and Neytiri’s family grapples with grief after Neteyam’s death, encountering a new, aggressive Na’vi tribe, the Ash People, who are led by the fiery Varang, as the conflict on Pandora escalates and a new moral focus emerges.
The trailer will be online this weekend and will play before Fantastic Four.
