Ben Cross, the English actor best known for his portrayal of the British Olympic athlete Harold Abrahams in the 1981 multi Oscar-winner Chariots Of Fire, as Sarek in the 2009 rebooted Star Trek, as well as such action films as Jarhead: Law of Return, The Hurricane Heist, Live Wire and as Steven Parker in Undisputed 2, has died at age 72 following an illness.
His family confirmed that the veteran stage and screen star passed away this morning in Vienna.
He is survived by his wife Deyana Boneva Cross, and his two children, Theo and Lauren.
