Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return to action movies with Breakout… which is not to be confused with the recent indie movie Breakout from director Brandon Slagle (which also has a similar storyline).
Deadline states “The Expendables 4 filmmaker Scott Waugh is aboard to direct the feature, which will see Arnie take on the lead role of Terry Reynolds. When his stepson is framed and sentenced to 25 years in a foreign country, Reynolds makes a daring jailbreak to save him and must overcome an overzealous prison warden in a race against time to avoid capture and flee the country”
It’s also set to be filmed in Eastern Europe this year.
That’s all we know at this stage but more details will no doubt be revealed soon.
