It looks like Charlize Theron is set to return as Lorraine Broughton in a follow up to Atomic Blonde as she recently stated in an interview at the San Francisco Film Festival that “We’re working on a sequel.”
That’s literally all she said but apparently David Leitch and stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave spoke with Bustle last year where they discussed the idea of taking Lorraine into the 1990s. Leitch described Lorraine Broughton as “a really compelling, fun character. There’s a lot of wish fulfillment in her, for both men and women.”
Personally, I didn’t take to Lorraine but I thought the fight scenes were superb so I’ll check out a sequel for sure.
