Summary

If like me, you’re a fan of low budget, violent exploitation actioners then you’ll enjoy Exterminator 2.

Plot: The flamethrower-wielding vigilante John Eastland returns to rid New York of a drug lord and his gang.

Review: I’ve always loved the first Exterminator film; it was harrowing, violent and haunts you after watching it. It’s also really nice watching criminals getting hurt/killed. Exterminator 2 isn’t anywhere near as disturbing as the first movie and is more of a standard actioner, which of course is no bad thing.

In this movie, Johnny goes to war against a drug lord and his gang; the most interesting thing is the drug lord is played by one Mario Van Peebles. He’s really good in it actually and is always a fun villain.

Let me just point one thing out, the Exterminator in this movie uses a flame-thrower on the bad guys and I’m sorry but that’s just plain awesome.

The pacing isn’t that great in the mid-section with a bit too much romance, but I suppose it’s needed to show the motivation for why Johnny is gonna set a few bad guys on fire in the finale. The last 20 minutes he dons the flamethrower and cooks a few villains while I cheer and drink  some beer.

The music is hilariously bad though and is really off putting in some places; it’s just really out of place and doesn’t belong in this movie.

Overall, if like me, you’re a fan of low budget, violent exploitation actioners then you’ll enjoy Exterminator 2.
