A new look for a fan-favorite reveals itself for the first time at the 25th Annual Fan Expo Canada this week. The Grand Order of Divine Sweets™ (The GOoD Sweets) is the new venture from award-winning Cakes Cove founder, Sam Lapointe and video game industry veteran, Meridith Braun that helps fans celebrate their passions with intricately designed custom sweets inspired by the Fandoms they love most. Starting on August 22nd at Fan Expo Canada, attendees will have the opportunity to marvel over and purchase a variety of The GOoD Sweets treats in the North Hall at Booth #4012.
“I launched Cakes Cove at Fan Expo Canada six years ago with the goal of making the world a little sweeter one cake at a time,” explained Sam Lapointe, founder, co-owner and Master Creator at
The Grand Order of Divine Sweets. “Evolving it to The Grand Order of Divine Sweets to focus more on fan communities felt like a natural next step to answer the increasing calls from fans to feed their Fandoms. Debuting our new look at this year’s Fan Expo was a no-brainer. I can’t wait for our longtime fans and hopefully some new ones to join us on this new sweet adventure.”
A variety of Fandom-inspired sweets will be available all weekend during Fan Expo Canada at Booth #4012 including specialty themed fine chocolates from popular properties like Star Wars®, Spider-
Man® and Dr. Who® to name a few; along with geeky takes on chocolate bark, chocolate geode eggs, cupcakes, butter cookies and more. Continuing a tradition Cakes Cove started in 2014, The Grand Order of Divine Sweets is also donating and supplying the Fan Expo Green Room with a chocolate, cookie and cupcake filled sweets table to thank the celebrity guests for their roles in the Fandoms we love.
Following Fan Expo Canada in early September, The Grand Order of Divine Sweets will open a fantasy-inspired bakery café in the heart of The Six at 1162 Queen Street West. Using only the finest ingredients and specializing in awe-inspiring custom cake designs such as life-size droids, wearable chocolate suits of
armor and gravity-defying suspended confections, the bakery café will also carry beautifully designed bakery cakes, cupcakes, cookies and fine truffles and chocolates along with a variety of coffee, tea and juice beverages.
