I had never been to Frightmare in the Falls, but I’m glad I went this year and will go back every year from now on as it was one of the best days I’ve had for some time. Whereas some other Cons get super crowded and you never get much time to chat with the various celebrities you meet, here we got to talk with them for as long as we wanted.
Kim Coates was one of the many highlights who has starred in some of my favourite movies of all-time like The Last Boy Scout (pictured below), Sinners & Saints, Open Range, Bad Boys, Black Hawk Down, Chase Under Fire and of course the phenomenally successful television series Sons of Anarchy just to name a few. He mentioned how before starring in Sons he had no interest in really doing a TV series but he’s glad he did as it’s become one of his most popular roles to date.
We also discussed Bruce Willis and his sadly declining health but Kim remembered fondly working on The Last Boy Scout and just what an awesome movie it is.
It was one of my all-time favourite celebrity meet-ups as there was no crazy rush and we could all just be relaxed. Kudos to all the crew working at Frightmare in the Falls and see y’all next year.
