This is rather exciting news with Jackie Chan & Ralph Macchio both set to return to The Karate Kid franchise in their respective roles – Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and Chan returning as Mr. Han.
No word on plot details yet but according to Deadline Jonathan Entwistle is going to direct from a script by Rob Lieber, with Karen Rosenfelt producing. It’s slated for release by Sony Pictures on December 13, 2024.
With the final season of Cobra Kai approaching this feels like a natural progression for Daniel and it’s got me wondering if Johnny or or any other cast members will be along for the ride.
