I’ve always had a soft spot for this movie as it was nice to see Gary Busey playing a hero as he got a bit typecast in the 90’s as a villain.
In Eye of the Tiger Busey plays Buck Matthews, a former convict trying to live a peaceful life with his wife and daughter in his hometown. When it becomes clear that a vicious motorcycle gang, led by the sadistic Blade (William Smith), now rules the area, Buck fights back, but his defiance makes his family a target. After things take a violent turn for the worse, Buck recruits his old Vietnam-vet buddy J.B. Deveraux (Yaphet Kotto) to do what the local cops won’t do, and stop Blade’s reign of terror.
