New Trailer & Poster for Creature Feature Sting

STING will crawl into theaters April 12th. The arachnophobia-inducing feature from writer/director Kiah Roache-Turner (Wyrmwood series) stars Ryan Corr (House of the Dragon, The Water Diviner), Alyla Browne (Three Thousand Years of Longing, Nine Perfect Strangers, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Penelope Mitchell (Hellboy), and Jermaine Fowler (The Blackening; Ricky Stanicky; Coming 2 America).

STING spins a web of thrilling terror when 12-year-old Charlotte’s (played by impressive up-and-comer Alyla Browne) pet spider rapidly transforms into a giant flesh-eating monster, forcing the young girl to fight for her family’s survival. With incredible practical spider effects from 5-time Academy Award® Winner Weta Workshop, led by Creative Director Richard Taylor (Blade Runner 2049, King Kong, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy), STING is nightmare fuel, coupled with unexpected moments of quick-witted comedy highlighted by the exterminator played by Jermaine Fowler.

The film stemmed from Kiah Roache-Turner’s own extreme fear of spiders; his previous films include post-apocalyptic zombie thriller Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead (which premiered at Fantastic Fest), comedy sci-fi/horror Nekrotronic, starring Monica Bellucci (which premiered at the TIFF in 2018), and action/horror sequel Wyrmwood: Apocalypse (winner of the Audience Award at the 2021 Sydney Film Festival) starring Luke McKenzie.
