This is sad news as I was always a big fan of Nick Glennie-Smith who worked with Hans Zimmer in creating the epic score to The Rock, as well as The Man in the Iron Mask, We Were Soldiers, Secretariat, A Sound of Thunder, Highlander: Endgame, Fire Down Below and many more.
According to THR Nick Glennie-Smith died peacefully Aug. 16 surrounded by family at his home in Charlottesville, Virginia, his wife of 52 years, Jan Glennie-Smith. No cause of death was revealed.
