I forgot this movie was even happening as it’s been a few years since Kickboxer: Retaliation. According to THR “Scott Adkins will play Cesare in Kickboxer: Armageddon, a martial arts master who rules over a sadistic cult, the descendants of the REG (The Royal Elite Guard) of Burma. Cesare’s teaching philosophy involves learning through pain.
The film is the final entry in the new trilogy based on the Kickboxer action franchise which, began in 1989 with the Jean-Claude Van Damme classic. Alain Moussi returns as Kurt Sloane, a fighter out to avenge his murdered brother.”
Dimitri Logothetis returns to write and direct this picture which is set to start production in April.
With Scott Adkins on villain duties this film has just gone up on my radar, so hopefully we don’t have to wait too long to see the conclusion to this new Kickboxer trilogy.
