We’re Finally Getting a M.A.S.K. Movie

If you’ve been a follower of this site you’ll remember a few years ago I did an article wondering why we hadn’t had a movie version of M.A.S.K. yet; well we can rest easy tonight, children as it appears F. Gary Gray (Fate of the Furious) will be teaming up with Hasbro to direct the film.

According to Deadline Hasbro and Paramount Pictures are looking to quickly get a writer on the project in order to “hatch a contemporary subculture movie with a youth empowerment angle.” Gray allegedly sparked to M.A.S.K. as it’s “a vintage property that could be revamped and have something to say to a contemporary audience.”

No word on what the actual story will be but the main premise of the cartoon revolved around the fight between an underground task force called M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and a criminal organization called V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem).

Just don’t bring in T-Bob… seriously, fuck that guy.

Sing it with me! MA MA MA MASK! IS THE MIGHTY POWER THAT CAN SAVE THE DAYYY!!!
