Put your pitchforks down everyone and listen! I always thought Short Round got a bad rap in Temple of Doom and although some people found him annoying, for me it was Willie Scott who was the real pain in the ass of that movie with her constant shrieking and whining.
Short Round proved to be quick witted, smart and brave and you could tell he would grow up to be just like Indiana Jones. Am I the only person who would like to see him return in a possible spin-off?
I don’t know how I feel about a fifth Indy movie with Harrison Ford’s advancing years and it’s unlikely Shia Lebeouf will return as he trashed the fourth movie shortly after it came out and he seems more interested in doing smaller indie (rather than Indy ho ho) fare.
What if we see Short Round in his 40’s who goes on his own series of adventures? Jonathan Ke Quan still has the moves so it might be a cool idea.
These are the ramblings of a drunken Scotsman but I’d watch something like that then no reboot will be required for Indy.
