What’s the Deal with Triple Threat?

We’ve been waiting for Triple Threat for literally years from director Jesse Johnson (Accident Man/The Debt Collector); in case you’ve never heard of it it’s a mini-Expendables that stars Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, Tony Jaa, Tiger Chen, Mike Bisping and Iko Uwais.

The story is about a crime syndicate that places a hit on a billionaire’s daughter, making her the target of an elite assassin squad. A small band of down-and-out mercenaries protects her, fighting tooth and nail to stop the assassins from reaching their target.

For some reason the film hasn’t been released yet and fans keep asking what’s the deal. Well director Jesse Johnson responded to a question on Facebook stating: “Triple Threat was financed by a Chinese group they get first release – it cannot be released in the West until it has had a Chinese release. – thanks for you interest!”

So we’re essentially waiting for China to release it but we still aren’t 100% sure when that will be; it will be at some point in 2019… glad I could narrow that down for you.
